Fellowships & other educational programs

The George Alexander Foundation is proud to support a range of fellowship opportunities for secondary, vocational students and post-graduates through leading national organisations.

Fellowships provide the means for talented individuals to pursue specific extended study and learning opportunities that may not have been possible otherwise. Fellowship recipients are selected by their supporting institutions for having outstanding potential, drive, ideas and the capacity to bring benefit to their industry or the wider community through their study and future career.

The George Alexander Foundation currently supports fellowships and non-tertiary scholarships through the International Specialised Skills Institute and secondary school level program through the Earthwatch Institute Student Challenge.

Between 2008 - 2015, the Foundation supported places in the Centre for Sustainability Leadership's award-winning Fellowship Program, which assisted passionate young environmental leaders to develop the skills, networks and knowledge needed to be effective in forging a more sustainable future.  Over the years the Foundation contributed grants for 40 fellowships totalling $210,000.
